[edit] ZWDA - How to use the General Mouse Driver
[edit] Install the driver
- Open the device manager.
- Find the target mouse.
- Right click and select Update driver....
- Choose No, not this time.
- Choose Install from a list or specific location.
- Choose Don't search, I will choose the driver to install.
- Click on Have disk.
- Select the file zwda_general_mouse.inf located in the folder ZWDA\drivers\GeneralMouse\driver\XP.
- Validate.
The mouse should now appear as ZWDA - Something.
[edit] Use the driver
- Start ZWDA and load and start the driver.
- Under the Devices section, the mouse should appear.
- Start it.
- Use the event section to configure it.
- Use it.
[edit] How to revert to the old Windows/Logitech driver
To get back to the old driver, repeat the install procedure, and choose HID-compliant mouse for the windows driver or Logitech HID-compliant ... for the Logitech mice (if you installed the corresponding drivers) instead of selecting the file manually.
[edit] How to load the driver if you are running a 64 bit version of windows
- Download and install the Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider ( http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=dseo )
- Enable test mode (and reboot)
- Sign the driver file (\drivers\GeneralMouse\driver\Win7_x64\zwda_gm_lowerfilter.sys)
- Install the driver normally
